What is the strongest indicator of a child’s academic success?
The student’s ability to read.
Throughout the month of October, The Connection Tutoring Center is partnering with the Junior League of Memphis to collect books for the READ20 Book Patrol. Started by First Lady Haslan, the READ20 Book Patrol works through local law enforcement to provide elementary students in Memphis – and across Tennessee – with age-appropriate books, encouraging them to boost their literacy by reading 20 minutes a day.
Until Monday, October 31, The Connection will be collecting donations of K-6 reading books in good condition. Any picture books or beginning chapter books your students no longer read would be excellent!
