Former Connection Instructor’s Community Impact

Ryan Carroll, our former Lead Instructor at The Connection Tutoring Center, was recently featured in a Commercial Appeal article highlighting his work to help inmates earn their GED.  Before accepting a full-time position with HopeWorks in May, Ryan balanced his tutoring responsibilities with teaching correctional education classes at 201 Poplar and the Penal Farm.  Ryan is an exceptional educator who brings passion and enthusiasm to his work every day.  Students truly enjoy learning with him, and he produces incredible growth in both scores and students’ confidence.  While we definitely miss him here at the center, we are so proud of his tireless work in the Memphis community!
